DC-H25-A35-A75-BZM

Product Code:

A medium to heavy duty, EN 2-5 power adjustable, commercial grade door closer that promotes the smooth and secure operation of your door, ensuring it closes every time it is opened. Finished in silver – as standard – with adjustable back check and delayed action. The back check provides resistance in order to minimise damage when the door is opened with excessive force, while the delayed action slows the closing of the door. Ideal for hospitals, care homes and disabled access areas. Hold open and slide track option available. Fire rated and compliant with EN1154 certification standard.

What is a door closer?
A door closer is a controlled closing mechanism that automatically returns a door to the closed position. It helps improve safety, privacy, security, and building performance by reducing the risk of doors being left open.

Which door closer do you offer?
Our core range is the DC-H25 series hydraulic door closer, designed for architectural applications where reliable, adjustable closing control is required.

What door size and weight does the H25 series suit?
The DC-H25 series is adjustable across an EN 2 to EN 5 power range, allowing it to be set to suit a broad range of door sizes and weights.

As a guide, at EN 5 strength:

  • maximum recommended door width: 1250 mm
  • maximum recommended door weight: 100 kg

Is the H25 series adjustable?
Yes. The DC-H25 series is power adjustable from EN 2 to EN 5, allowing the closer to be tuned to the door and site conditions.

Adjustments are available for:

  • delayed action (where specified)
  • closing speed
  • latching speed
  • backcheck power

What is the difference between a standard scissor arm and a slide arm?
Standard scissor arm closers are a common, robust option and are often selected where performance and value are the priority.

Slide arm closers use a channel and slide shoe for a cleaner look and reduced projection.

Note: when the DC-H25 is used with a slide arm channel, the effective power rating typically drops by one EN size.

Can the H25 series be installed on push side or pull side?
Yes. The DC-H25 series can be installed on the push side or pull side, depending on door swing, site constraints, and the arm configuration selected.

What is a parallel arm bracket?
A parallel arm bracket is used for push side installations where the arm runs parallel to the door. It is commonly specified on outward opening doors to keep the installation clear and reduce the risk of interference.

What is the DC-A24 invert mount drop plate used for?
The DC-A24 is a painted, zinc plated steel invert mount drop plate that drops the fixing position below the transom. It allows a DC-H25 series door closer to be securely installed when the top seal or transom is too narrow for direct mounting.

What is the DC-A25 mounting plate used for?
The DC-A25 is a painted, zinc plated steel mounting plate designed to increase the available fixing area on doors with narrow frames, often due to large glazing pockets.

It can be used on the push side or pull side to create a larger, more stable mounting surface.

What is the DC-A75 box cover?
The DC-A75 is a decorative stainless steel box cover that fits over the DC-H25 door closer body to provide a cleaner, more refined appearance. The cover screws directly onto the closer for a secure fit.

What finishes are available for the DC-A75 box cover?
The DC-A75 box cover is available in:

  • satin stainless steel
  • polished stainless steel
  • black
  • a wide range of powder coated colours

What are SC-125 and SC-135 screw packs?

  • SC-125 Screw Pack: replacement fixings to suit the DC-H25 standard scissor arm door closer
  • SC-135 Screw Pack: replacement fixings to suit DC-H25 installations with slide arm and box cover, including screws required to mount the slide arm and secure the DC-A75 cover
Both screw packs are ideal when fixings are misplaced during installation or servicing.

What finishes are available for SC-125 and SC-135 screw packs?
SC-125 and SC-135 screw packs are available in:

  • black
  • satin stainless steel
  • polished stainless steel
  • a range of powder coated colours

Are your door closers suitable for fire rated doors?
Yes. The DC-H25 series can be specified for fire rated door applications.

Important: the sliding arm version includes an integrated hold open function. Hold open must be disabled when used on fire rated doors. Refer to the installation manual for disabling instructions.

What warranty do your door closers include?
Our door closers include a 2 year warranty against mechanical faults.

Where should standard hydraulic door closers not be used?
Avoid using standard indoor hydraulic door closers in uncontrolled, harsh, or high abuse environments. Using standard units in these settings can lead to fluid leaks, rust, or broken arms.

For these applications, select a heavy duty, marine grade, or wind rated closing mechanism suited to the environment.

It is not recommended to install a surface mounted door closer in external applications. Exposure to weather, moisture, and dust will reduce service life and may void warranty.

What information do you need to help select the right closer?
To recommend the best configuration, it helps to confirm:

  • door width and approximate weight
  • fire rating requirements (if applicable)
  • arm preference (standard scissor arm or slide arm)
  • mounting constraints (narrow transom or top rail, deep frame, glazing pocket)
  • finish requirements for visible components
  • whether hold open is required
