Sustainability and Product
For us, sustainability is not a policy that sits beside the product. It lives inside it. We design hardware to be touched thousands of times, and to last not for a season but for the life of the building.
That starts with material. Brass is not chosen to stay perfect. It is chosen to change. Left to live, it patinas, holding the story of the space on its surface. Our timber, Victorian Ash and Tasmanian Oak, is sourced from certified forests and ages with warmth rather than wearing out. Our stainless steel is specified in marine grade for the long life it gives in the most demanding settings.
Each material is honest, each is durable, and each is meant to improve with time rather than be replaced.
We make what we design
We are not only designers. We prototype, machine, polish and finish our hardware ourselves, in Australia. Controlling the process end to end means we build to endure rather than to price, and it lets us cut waste through precise production.
Our timber comes only from AFS and PEFC certified forests, and our finishes are engineered to hold. It is quality with intent: better materials mean longer lives, and longer lives mean less made, less discarded, less replaced.
