H.A.G.

H.A.G. is one of Australia's leading homeware suppliers. When the business outgrew its premises, owners Max Grundmann and William Ryan had the chance to build something they had long planned. Working with BG Architecture, they created a new corporate office and warehouse, with a purpose-designed showroom that takes customers on a journey through displays of glass and crockery.

H.A.G.

design brief

The main entry needed a presence that was strong but subtle, making the right first impression for the brand while suiting the interior architecture. All of the door furniture had to carry the same theme of curvature and lightness.

customised door hardware solution

Working with BG Architecture, we used a circular form, a reference to dinnerware, to create a branded entry feature that reflects H.A.G.'s corporate identity.

The twin circular entry pull handles are made from solid 316 marine-grade satin stainless steel. Each carries a raised, highly polished H.A.G. logo that reflects the light against the satin background. Mounted on the glass entrance doors, the pull handles frame the way into reception and set the tone for the rest of the building.

  • Entrance: Custom circular entry pull handles in 316 marine-grade satin stainless steel with a polished raised logo
  • Offices: Quad door pull handles in satin stainless steel; Catalina door lever handles
  • Joinery: Linea 5190 stainless steel cabinet handles on tall timber joinery doors; round powder-coated flush pulls FP901 for a near-invisible finish on white joinery doors
  • Showroom: Lip pulls 3750 on display cabinets, keeping the focus on the glass and crockery
