In Australia, joinery commonly refers to cabinetry, such as kitchen, bathroom and wardrobe cabinetry. In the USA, this is more commonly referred to as cabinet hardware.

What is joinery hardware?

Joinery hardware includes cabinet knobs, cabinet handles, lip pulls and blade pulls, all of which are designed for cabinetry and other light interior applications.

These options are not generally recommended for integrated fridge or freezer applications. For these, please refer to our matching appliance pull range.

Are your joinery products intended for cabinetry only?

Most joinery hardware is designed for cabinetry, drawers and general joinery applications.

Selected back to back options may also be suitable for:

• light internal doors
• frameless showerscreens

These applications should always be checked carefully before ordering to ensure the selected product, fixing method and substrate are suitable.

Are joinery handles suitable for external or heavy doors?

In general, joinery hardware should be selected for cabinetry and light interior use unless the product is specifically designed for another application.

If you need hardware for entry doors, heavy doors or external doors, we recommend selecting from the dedicated door hardware ranges.

What is the difference between a cabinet knob, cabinet handle, lip pull and blade pull?

Each style offers a different look and grip experience:

• cabinet knobs are compact and well suited to drawers, cupboards and smaller joinery elements
• cabinet handles provide a more traditional pull handle format across a wide range of cabinet sizes

What does CTC mean?

CTC stands for centre to centre. It is the distance between the centre of one fixing hole and the centre of the other fixing hole on a handle.

This is the key measurement to confirm when replacing existing cabinet hardware.

How do I measure centre to centre on an existing handle?

Measure from the centre of one fixing hole to the centre of the other fixing hole.

If you are replacing an existing handle, this is the most important measurement to match.

What sizes do your cabinet handles come in?

Our cabinet handles are available in a range of standard sizes across different collections. Many hole centre dimensions follow the widely used 32mm cabinetry system.

Common centre to centre sizes include:

Selected designs are also available in smaller overall lengths, larger statement sizes and custom sizes depending on the collection.

Do you offer custom sizes?

Yes. Selected joinery ranges are available in custom sizes, excluding selected PVD finish options.

How do I choose the right handle size?

As a general guide:

• smaller knobs and shorter pulls suit smaller drawers and cupboards
• medium handle sizes suit standard drawers and cabinet doors
• longer pulls suit wide drawers, pantry doors and larger joinery elements

The right size will also depend on proportions, design intent and mounting orientation.

Can cabinet handles be mounted vertically or horizontally?

Yes. Many cabinet handles can be mounted either vertically or horizontally depending on the application and design preference.

What is a lip pull?

A lip pull is a handle that wraps over or hooks onto the edge of a cabinet door or drawer front, creating a clean and understated appearance.

Are lip pulls suitable for different cabinet door thicknesses?

Yes. Lip pulls are available to suit different cabinetry door thicknesses depending on the design selected.

What is a blade pull?

A blade pull is a slim linear pull designed to create a refined architectural look.

Do lip pulls and blade pulls require special clearance?

Many products are suitable for internal wet areas depending on material and finish.
