Installation & Fixing

What are the standard fixing centres for your entrance handles?
We offer standard fixing centres in 100mm increments. However, you're welcome to specify the fixing centre you require and we’ll custom-make it to suit your needs.

Do you offer back-to-back, rear, and face (surface) fixing options for all handle sizes?
Yes, all fixing options are available for our entrance handles. Simply choose your preferred fixing type from the dropdown menu when ordering.

What’s the difference between pan head and countersunk fixings?
Both are rear fixing methods:

  • Pan head bolts sit on the surface of the door and are typically used on steel or aluminium doors that can't be countersunk. They help spread the load over a larger surface area.
  • Countersunk bolts have a flat head that sits flush with the door surface, ideal for a clean finish on timber or cabinet doors.

Are there special considerations for installing on glass doors vs timber doors?
Yes, for glass doors, the hole diameter must not be smaller than the glass thickness. Our entrance handles are suitable for both timber and glass doors and made to industry standards. Glass fixing options can be selected via the product dropdown menu.

Technical Specifications

What’s the standard projection of your entrance handles?
Our pulls are designed with a low-profile projection for a sleek look, while still ensuring a comfortable grip. Some models also meet DDA and ADA compliance for accessibility.

Do you offer DDA or ADA-compliant handles?
Yes, selected pulls are compliant with DDA and ADA standards. Look for the wheelchair symbol on the product pages for easy identification.

What door thicknesses do your entrance handles suit?

  • Lanex series: up to 50mm (standard)
  • Other pulls: up to 70mm (standard)

For thicker doors (up to 130mm), select the appropriate option at checkout or contact us for custom bolt lengths.

Are there size or weight limitations for the doors your handles can be used on?
No specific limitations, but for longer handles, we may recommend additional fixing points to avoid flexing. Our team will advise you at the time of order.

Do you offer custom lengths?
Absolutely. All handles can be made to your custom length. For longer pulls, we’ll guide you on the best fixing solutions to maintain structural integrity.

Materials & Finishes

Which materials are best for exterior use?
Our entrance handles are made from solid brass or 304 stainless steel, both suitable for indoor and outdoor use. For coastal or high-corrosion environments, we offer 316 marine-grade stainless steel upon request.

How do finishes hold up in outdoor conditions?
All finishes benefit from regular cleaning in line with our Care & Maintenance Guide. Living finishes (such as bronze or brass) will naturally age and develop a patina over time, adding character to the hardware.

Do different materials require different maintenance?
Yes, care requirements vary by material and finish. Refer to our Care & Maintenance Guide for detailed instructions.

Design & Functionality

Can entrance handles be used on both single and double doors?
Yes, our handles can be installed on single or double doors. Choose the correct fixing type: back-to-back, rear, or face fixing during the order process.

Are your handles fire-rated?
Some of our entrance pulls are fire-rated and come with Australian fire certification. We recommend confirming fire compliance requirements with your local authority before ordering.

Do you offer matching hardware sets (e.g., entrance handle + lever handle)?
Yes, we offer matching sets within select design collections like the Lanex and Club series. Recommended pairings will be shown on the relevant product pages.

Practical Considerations

What’s the recommended handle length for different door types?

  • Residential front doors: 400–600mm
  • Appliance/cabinet doors: 300–400mm

Ultimately, the choice comes down to aesthetics and personal preference;there’s no right or wrong length. However, we do stock some standard sizes in 300, 400 and 600mm if you need to order quickly.
