Return Policy

Can I return a product?

We do everything we can to ensure that our customers are satisfied with our products, however, in the event that you would like to return a product to us, our Returns Policy is as follows:
1.    The customer shall be deemed to have accepted the goods to be of a description, quality and quantity offered, unless particulars of a claim to the contrary are notified to Designer Doorware in writing within 7 days after delivery.
 
2.    An authority number for the return of goods must accompany all returns. Credits will be issued on the basis of inspection and acceptance by Designer Doorware, and Designer Doorware reserves the right to impose a 30% handling charge on goods returned.
 
3.    Custom designed special pieces and special finishes products are not returnable under any circumstances and orders in respect of such cannot be cancelled by the customer.

Warranty Info

Do all your products come with a warranty?

The vast majority of our products come with at least a 5 year warranty. Please note that brass and plated finishes are classified as soft finishes as deterioration is possible under some climatic conditions, these are excluded from this guarantee. Any modifications to a product as supplied or repairs are executed from this guarantee. 

What does your product warranty cover?

Designer Doorware Pty Ltd guarantees its products against defects in workmanship or materials. If, within 25 years the product is found to be defective, Designer Doorware will repair and or supply the same or an equivalent product free of charge. Designer Doorware however, assumes no liability for the following:

  • Improper installation or failure to follow instructions
  • Failure due to improper maintenance or fair wear and tear
  • Indirect or consequential loss or damage
  • Cost of removal and/or replacement
  • Cost of freight and/or travelling time
  • Brass and all plated finishes are classified as soft finishes, and as deterioration is possible under some climatic conditions, these are excluded from the warranty
  • Any modifications to a product as supplied or repairs are excluded from the warranty

How long is your product warranty?

All Designer Doorware products are covered by our lifetime conditional 25 year warranty, except our commercial door closers and mortice locks which have a 2 year warranty. Excluding door closers and mortice locks, all products sold outside of Australia have a 5 year warranty.
